Lemon Verbena (Lippia citriodora) Wild Crafted Essential Oil
$ 45.10
I have a soft spot for Lemon Verbena essential oil. Even though we live in the north country, I have had success with digging up my lovely Lemon Verbena bush every fall and overwintering it in our heated garage, where it immediately goes dormant. Come spring, I replant it and it never disappoints. It's scent is so strong, and so compelling, that years ago I used to watch the teenaged boy who mowed our lawn at the time stop every pass and take a big sniff of the plant. At the end of that summer, he asked me what the plant was called, and he actually wrote it down. Our current offering of wild crafted Lemon Verbena essential oil comes from France and is diffused from the leaves of the plant. Lemon Verbena oil is expensive, but a little goes a long way when it is used in blends. I plan to harvest my own pesticide-free leaves this fall so that I might be able to offer some infused oils at a lower price. It is much more gentle on the skin than Lemongrass, and is used in many cosmetics to soften the skin as well as for it's uplifting scent. Lemon Verbena is anti-inflammatory and is often used to treat low grade fevers, and respiratory conditions. I love to add a few drops to my diffuser during the cold winter months....and dream about the summer to come.
