Opopanax (Commiphora guidotti) Wild Crafted Essential Oil

I discovered Opopanax during my essential oils certification training when it was presented as an excellent oil for sinus congestion.  I do a 10 minute steam most mornings, and this is one of the oils that I frequently use for that.  This Opopanax is distilled from the resin of wild crafted trees in Ethiopia.  It is sweet, grounding and sensual and has expectorant qualities.  It is also antibacterial and antiseptic.  It is often used as a muscle relaxant and is stress and anxiety reducing.  Opopanax can dry up excess moisture in the body, including mucus in the lungs and sinuses, and diarrhea.  It can be used in a steam inhaler, diffused, or added to a cream or lotion and rubbed onto the skin.  I add it to blends at the first sign of colds, coughing or the flu.  I have also found it to be effective in natural bug repellent sprays.
