This organic Cinnamon Leaf oil is from Madagascar. It has a warm, clear, sweet smell that I prefer to that of Cinnamon Bark. It is antibacterial and antifungal, but gentle enough that it can be used (diluted, of course) on the skin, where it can be very useful in the treatment of skin inflammation. This oil has historically been used to treat colds and is wonderfully supportive of positive emotions. It adds energy to blends. And although it is more gentle than Cinnamon Bark, it should still be used with caution.
